My beloved younger sister Connie passed away very suddenly 2 weeks ago. Things will never be the same without her smiling face and upbeat approach to life ♥️.
After losing her husband to a tragic accident a decade ago, Connie took up photography, with the guidance of a great teacher/mentor and dear friend. As a tribute to Connie, I’d like to share her inspiring blog here with you: MOMENTS (https://cmrue.wordpress.com)
I am so very sorry. Love to you and your family.

That is sad news, Carol. So sorry. It is bad enough we have to accept the loss of a parent but a sibling is even harder. Connie found solace in photography and I hope your love of birds and photography will do the same for you. Her blog images are lovely and I also hope you will cherish them in her memory.

Very sorry for your loss. It is a sad time of grieving in the present, but one day… “the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are still alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

Thank you very much for your words of condolence, William. In Judaism, there is a prayer we say every morning:
My God, the soul which you have placed within me is pure. You have created it; You have formed it; You have breathed it into me. You preserve it within me; You will take it from me, and restore it to me in the hereafter. So long as the soul is within me, I offer thanks before You, Lord my God and God of my fathers, Master of all creatures, Lord of all souls. Blessed are You, Lord, who restores souls to the dead.

The last photograph on your sister’s site is titled “Final View.” Would that it weren’t so.

How very touching of you to mention that, Steve! Yes, my daughter-in-law made note of that title when she saw the blog – and my daughter subsequently made framed images of that photo with the title for my sisters’ two adult children and my brothers and me. It is a huge and painful loss for our family – so sudden, and she was so young.

Forgive me for replying just now, so long after your very kind and thoughtful comment about my sister’s passing, Ellen. I think my attention was diverted from the joy of my blogging world in the aftermath of her death back in July. Yes, she was a great lover of nature and a wonderful photographer.

Absolutely forgiven, and not necessary at all. Grief works on its own schedule and pushes our attentions every which way. May your memories be an ongoing comfort.
