Strolling along this boardwalk path at Corkscrew Swamp, surrounded by the abundant Southeastern Sunflowers, was a highlight of the morning – What a DELIGHT! 🌻🌻🌻🌻
It’s amazing how much beauty surrounds us all the time every day! Even though I start out looking for birds, every time I go to this Sanctuary, I notice how the wildflowers change from one month to the next!
Lovely flower photography! And the mass of Southeastern Sunflowers was an impressive sight! Wish we had those sorts of numbers of wildflowers around here.
The mass of sunflowers was quite amazing to see, Ann! I don’t even remember noticing any the last time I was at the sanctuary, but this time, visitors were surrounded by them along this stretch of boardwalk.
Thanks, Steve! Yes… I remember when that video went viral! What an incredible experience that must’ve been for the photographer/walker!😳 I felt sorry for the panther, and wondered where he finally “got off“ the boardwalk! Funny… I had a similar experience recently with raccoons on the Corkscrew Swamp boardwalk. Far less exciting, of course, but the same premise – The boardwalk there is quite long, and surrounded by water on both sides almost the whole way – no easy place to hop off and run away.
I didn’t know about the setup. Now I feel sorry for the panther too. It must have been somewhat panicked trapped on it and I’d guess the person in the video was lucky it didn’t get aggressive as a result.
Now THAT’S a picture-perfect stroll!
Gorgeous photographs of some really beautiful flowers!
Thank you for sharing.
