Nearly every morning, the first thing I do after I wake up is grab my camera bag and go birding. No matter how many times I return to the same place, and no matter what time of day it is, I discover something new and remarkable and inspiring.
Every once in a while, I come across another sort of unexpected treat (not a bird, or an insect, or a flower), like the sign I saw last spring along a trail in the Everglades. It is there to remind us why we must protect and preserve the Everglades, but it is also one of the most important reasons I go birding every day: “Wilderness nurtures the human soul.”
Carrie, it’s me Eddie. Berny gave me your website. Very lovely. Passed it on to Bonnie.
