You just can’t help but smile with Black-bellied Whistling Ducks around 😉 They are so charming, so friendly, so cheerful – and so photogenic!Always a treat to watch them up in the snag, surveying the ‘pondscape’ and singing their hearts out . . .
Love to catch them landing – or taking off – along the boardwalk, too . . .
Excellent shots Carol! Nice looking duck! 🙂

And I love how they whistle, especially as they fly by overhead. Such fun birds!

They definitely are one of the most popular birds in the preserve – everyone seems to love them:)

I love watching the ducks too!! They tend to get overlooked at the preserve by so many enthralled by the long-legged beauties and of course the alligator seekers!! 🙂 Ok, I am enthralled by the long-legged beauties!!

I agree with you about the ducks being overlooked, Judy. I never used to pay much attention to them but now I’m so interested in all the different species of ducks we have here – and their babies are so cute!
