I just can’t get enough of the brilliant pink Roseate Spoonbills, and most birders and visitors to our area feel the same way!
The young Spoonie above was getting his bearings on a tall snag on a recent gloomy late afternoon. Looked like he was trying to figure out how to avoid the impending rainstorm.
Four days later, this fellow was perched up on a different snag, enjoying the blue skies and bright morning sun. Ahhhh . . . . nothing like a fall walk through the wetlands in Florida ☀️
Such a treat to view these birds. Excellent photos, I particularly like the first one!
I thought that pose was so sweet, too, Belinda. It is a treat!
I too love spoonies. What a beautiful array of pics.
Thaks😎
Thanks, Berny! They are so uniquely beautiful, aren’t they?!
Beautiful shots of a beautiful Spoony BJ !
Thanks, AB… hope all is well with you and yours, “down under”!
What fabulous photos! Love the butt shot.
I appreciate your visit, Sue! Yes, that was quite a charming pose 🙂
Wonderful closeups of these beauties.
Thank you, Ellen. We’re so fortunate to have them nearby!
Gorgeous shots, Ellen! I love your spoony posts! I have never captured one in close range, so your close-ups are such a treat for me!
Thanks, Donna! We must be viewing Ellen’s posts at the same time, as I just responded to her, too ;-). Carol
Spoonies are my favorite. Great pictures!
I think Roseate Spoonbills are my all-time favorites, too, Pam. (Though I admit that I say that about lots of species☺️)
Me too! 🙂
Love that dark background so much!
Yes, sometimes a gloomy sky color can make such a wonderful backdrop!
