What is this amazing flower!??

We saw a clump of these gorgeous flowers growing wild near the water’s edge alongside Blackpoint Wildlife Drive, at Merritt Island NWR the other day. They grow on individual stems, about 15+” tall, each with this incredible blossom cluster about 2-3″ across.

I think it’s a Kalanchoe delagoensis, according to the Atlas of Florida Plants, but I’d be happy to be corrected if it’s something else. ♥️

  1. 🌸 Along the water’s edge, a mystery blooms, 🌿 In nature’s gallery, where beauty looms. 🌺 Gorgeous flowers, wild and free, 🌼 A spectacle, a sight to see.

Blackpoint’s drive, a floral embrace, 🚗 Merritt Island’s wonder, in nature’s grace. 🏞️ Stems standing tall, about fifteen inches high, 📏 Blossom clusters, like a painted sky.

Incredible hues, a 2-3 inch dance, 🌈 A floral wonder, a wild romance. 💖 Kalanchoe delagoensis, a guess so sweet, 🌿 Atlas of Florida Plants, nature’s heartbeat.

Yet, open to correction, the birder’s plea, 🙏 For the wisdom of many, a shared decree. 🌐 In this bloom’s identity, let truth unfold, 📜 A flower’s tale, in colors bold.

    🌸🌿🌼🚗🏞️📏🌈💖🌿🙏🌐📜
