ποΈ In nature’s ballroom, where beauty swirls, πΏ The Elegant Egret, in courtship twirls. π Bridal veil aigrettes, a delicate grace, π° Vivid green lores, love’s tender embrace.
Aigrettes like feathers, a bridal array, π¦’ In the dance of courtship, a display so fey. π Unmistakable markers, in the egret’s attire, π Whispers of love, set the marsh on fire.
Green lores shimmer, like leaves in spring, π± A symphony of courtship, where egrets sing. πΆ In the air, a love-laden sigh, π Nature’s romance, soaring high.
The Great Egret, in elegance dressed, π Love’s sweet song, in its beak confessed. ποΈ Bridal veil aigrettes, like whispers in the wind, π¬οΈ In the dance of courtship, a tale unpinned.
The images are beautiful! They are pretty with their green lore.
It’s looking like the season of love here as well. Last week I saw a Ruddy Duck in full breeding plumage already looking rusty, and his bill had gone full blue for love. ππ
Glad to hear youβre settling in! Iβm going back to see some of the posts I missed. Videos and photos of the flooding are remarkable! But Iβll comment more directly there.

The great egrets are present throughout much, if not most of North and South America. Am I correct that you have the same great egret in Australia?

Yes they are the same here BJ

Wow, what a delight to see, Deborah!! I think Iβve only seen a ruddy duck once, and donβt think it was even in breeding season.
