This scene struck me as a study in contrasts . . . . a curiously quiet, reflective Limpkin against a veritable riot of yellow flowers.
More often it is the Limpkins that are causing a riot with their loud screeching calls, and the background is hardly noticeable ☺️.
Interesting…after I studied this posting, I went to send it to a file, and the folder that appeared was “Emunah”. It does look like the bird is waiting….and trusting, in a way.

Lovely shot. Maybe the bird was rendered speechless by the beautiful background😊

I love the limpkin with the flowers! Usually you hear and not see them. I saw a baby one once. It had the biggest feet!

Thank you Pam! What a treat it must’ve been to see the baby Limpkin – parents keep them well-hidden. ☺️

Perhaps the Limpkin is also contemplating the beauty of the flowers!
