This Yellow-crowned Night Heron was enjoying his grooming in the privacy of this leafy cypress tree, when suddenly . . .
He noticed that he was being watched – AND photographed!
So, he raised his wide wing to hide from view, and stayed this way for the longest time. I confess, I got the message! . . . Gave up waiting, and moved on down the boardwalk.
Great little story, ๐
Glad you enjoyed this little Night Heron scene, Connie!
Such funny story, I guess no one likes paparazzis.
Haha, good one, Lukasz!๐ Poor birds, I guess they just canโt get away from the photographers.
Just being coy!
Right, Yaffa! โบ๏ธ
Just like one of those celebrities making themselves stand out in public and then complaining about the attention! ๐
Beautiful images!
Lol! What a great comparison!
Thanks!!
I think he was preening and realized he was being watched. ~” How dare they!” ๐
Great shots, Carol.
Thanks, HJ-yes, he did look quite indignant!
Great series and very nice captures with excellent feather details!
I really appreciate your visit and comments Ellen! Do you have Night Herons in your area, too?
We do, mostly the Black-crowned, but we do occasionally see the Yellow-crowned,
Beautiful, adorable shots and storyline!
