Noticing the little things in the marsh

I love walking through the marsh trails at our local Wildlife Refuge on a beautiful spring morning!

This time I chose to focus on some of the very small wonders at the marsh.

Judaism celebrates these wonders with a special blessing. I’m so grateful that these gifts are a part of my world.

‘Blessed are you, Lord, our God, King of the Universe, who has created such things in His world.’ (Koren Siddur, trans. Rabbi Jonathan Sacks)

  2. The only way to be happy is by looking closer at the little things and enjoy them. You are exploring whole new universe with your macroscopic lenses, the world within the world. So beautiful.

  3. A lot more little things than big ones exist, even if people are more likely to overlook the littler ones.

The buttonbushes are flowering in central Texas now, too. Have you experienced what a pleasant scent the flowers exude?
