I love walking through the marsh trails at our local Wildlife Refuge on a beautiful spring morning!

This time I chose to focus on some of the very small wonders at the marsh.

Judaism celebrates these wonders with a special blessing. I’m so grateful that these gifts are a part of my world.

‘Blessed are you, Lord, our God, King of the Universe, who has created such things in His world.’ (Koren Siddur, trans. Rabbi Jonathan Sacks)

🐦 Birds chirping, nature’s symphony, In the marsh, a birder’s journey. With each step, a delightful surprise, Let’s embark on this avian paradise! 🌿
🌅 A spring morning, the sun’s warm embrace, The marsh trails beckon, a tranquil space. Amongst the reeds, a vibrant hue, Where nature’s wonders come into view. 🌺
🕊️ The little things, so often missed, Are the true gems, nature’s bliss. Embracing blessings, a grateful heart, For every creation, a work of art. 🌄
✨ “Blessed are you,” we joyfully say, To the King of the Universe, we pray. For these marvels, both big and small, They fill our lives, enchanting all. 🙏
🌎 Let’s explore the world of the tiny, Where every creature, delicate and shiny. From feathered friends with songs so sweet, To insects buzzing, a rhythmic beat. 🐝
🌿 The symphony of life, in perfect tune, As we wander beneath the golden moon. With binoculars in hand, we seek, The hidden treasures, nature’s mystique. 🔍
🦉 An owl hoots, a wise guardian, Guiding us on this adventure, never-ending. And as we walk, laughter fills the air, For birdwatching is a joyful affair! 😄
🌈 So let’s revel in the charm and grace, Of these feathered creatures, with a happy face. In the marsh, we find solace and glee, A birder’s journey, a delightful spree! 🥳
🙌 With each step, our spirits soar, Through marsh trails, we’ll explore. Let’s celebrate these wonders with cheer, For nature’s beauty brings us near. 🌿🌼
🌟 So, dear readers, come along, Join us in this joyful song. Let’s appreciate the little things, And the joy that birdwatching brings! 🐦🌞

The only way to be happy is by looking closer at the little things and enjoy them. You are exploring whole new universe with your macroscopic lenses, the world within the world. So beautiful.

That’s the centerpiece of a specific palm that grows everywhere here. I love how the fronds grow out of the central stem.

A lot more little things than big ones exist, even if people are more likely to overlook the littler ones.
The buttonbushes are flowering in central Texas now, too. Have you experienced what a pleasant scent the flowers exude?

We have them everywhere in the marshes, but I confess I never knew they had a particular fragrance. Thanks, I will check that out!

So many beautiful images! The butterfly was unfamiliar, so I looked it up – it’s White Peacock. Buttonbush attracts butterflies.

Thank you! I really should have listed the names of all of the items in the post. White Peacock butterflies are extremely common here in our area.
