This little Florida fellow was posted in advance of our Belize trip. But I did see red-bellied woodpeckers in Belize- in addition to many other marvelous bird species!🇧🇿

Nice series, Carol. We have these as year-round residents here in the neighborhood and it is one of the few songs/calls I easily identify.

Terrific series of photographs!
These great-looking birds are really showing their bright breeding plumage now. Champions at adapting to changing habitat over the years, it’s wonderful to hear them almost everywhere we go.
